MOM Center for Infertility and Reproductive Health
The MOM Super-Specialized Center for Infertility Treatment and Reproductive Health has been developed across more than 6,500 square meters, following the most successful international models and in collaboration with the best Iranian specialists. We are proud to state that all the services offered at the leading infertility and reproductive health centers in the U.S. and Europe are also available at the MOM Center, in accordance with international standards. Operating under the brand name Mehr MOM Mihan, the center serves a large number of domestic and international patients daily.
Global-Standard Services
To deliver world-class services, certain essential factors have been considered, which are outlined below:
Comprehensive Care
One of the key elements for patient satisfaction and quality care is providing comprehensive services. This means covering all medical needs during key periods such as pre-conception, infertility treatment, and ensuring a healthy pregnancy. Centers that offer this integrated approach are known as One-Stop Fertility Centers—and MOM Center is built on this model.
The MOM Center includes:
- 16 super-specialized clinics
- 5 fully-equipped operating rooms
- 30 inpatient beds
- 1,500 square meters of cutting-edge laboratories for medical genetics, pathology, and imaging
Success Rate
The most critical performance metric for infertility centers worldwide is the Success Rate, defined as the ratio of IVF procedures resulting in live births to total IVF procedures.
The MOM Center was modeled after the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM), which holds the highest global success rate at 65%.
To replicate such outcomes, a detailed study was conducted and its findings meticulously implemented at the center. Key elements include:
Embryology lab equipped with Class B cleanroom and IVF operating rooms with Class C cleanroom standards
Use of HEPA H14 and Activated Carbon filters in air systems of embryology and andrology labs to eliminate airborne particles, especially VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) that can harm embryo quality
Latest technologies deployed in embryology, andrology, operating rooms, and radiology—directly affecting IVF success
Building Management System (BMS) for real-time monitoring of incubator gases, room pressure, humidity, and temperature
Comprehensive Quality Control and Quality Assurance systems to minimize medical errors, address issues, and standardize procedures
State-of-the-art genetic medicine services for selecting optimal treatment and embryos, improving pregnancy success rates and embryo quality
A psychology-centered approach, given the emotional sensitivity of patients. From building design to staff training, every detail incorporates emotional well-being as a factor that enhances treatment success
Medical Team
MOM Center proudly employs a team of top-tier specialists in infertility and reproductive health, all of whom have strong ethical and academic backgrounds.
This team works collaboratively to provide the best care possible. Through daily conferences, treating physicians consult with fellow doctors, embryologists, and nurses to determine the most effective treatment plan for each patient.
Medical Equipment
MOM Center is equipped with some of the most advanced medical devices among infertility and reproductive centers in the Middle East. Key equipment includes:
- GE Mammography systems
- GE Ultrasound systems (E10, S10, P6)
- Wolf Laparoscopy (Germany)
- GETINGE Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD)
- Linet Colposcopes, hospital beds, and IUI beds (Czech Republic)
- Dräger Anesthesia Machines (Germany)
- ValleyLab Electrocautery Units (USA)
- ARDO Syringe Pumps and Surgical Suction Devices (Switzerland)
- Atlas Spco Oxygen Generators
- Philips Defibrillators (Germany)
Building Design
"The architectural vision for the MOM Center was to avoid the anxiety and uncertainty typical of many medical facilities. Instead, like our enlightened ancestors, we aimed to build a healing sanctuary rather than a place of illness."
Fear of infertility, the emotional strain of treatment, and financial concerns all create immense stress for families. This stress is, in itself, a barrier to successful treatment. Therefore, a visually calming environment is critical.
MOM Center was designed as a healing hospital, prioritizing patient comfort and serenity. This attention to detail led the center to be named one of the top 3 buildings of the year 2019 by Architecture & Art Magazine, chosen from over 1,000 entries.
Moreover, smart building technologies are essential in modern healthcare environments, helping prevent technical failures and human error. For example, if an incubator containing embryos experiences a gas pressure or temperature drop at night with no operator present, a BMS-integrated alarm system can alert night staff and prevent disasters.
MOM Center is a fully smart building, with many infrastructure and equipment parameters managed via its BMS. It has been recognized by Building Automation Magazine as one of the smartest buildings in Iran and the most advanced fertility center in the Middle East.
Research and Development
Creating a medical center at international standards is a great achievement—but maintaining that status is even more challenging. That’s why MOM Center has established a parallel research and innovation department focused on women’s health, infertility diagnosis, and treatment.
This unit ensures continuous adaptation to the latest global advancements and facilitates research by Iranian scientists in areas such as:
Cell therapy
Recombinant medicine
Bioresonance
A shining example is the local development of the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccine, one of the main causes of cervical cancer. Following the work of global pharmaceutical leaders like Merck and GSK, MOM Center has succeeded in achieving the know-how to produce this high-tech vaccine.
The project, part of a national mega-initiative, is currently undergoing human trials and is expected to reach the market by next year.
Education and Awareness
Education is a core mission at MOM Center. Two years before its official opening, the MOM Online Magazine (Mother’s Awareness Hub) was launched to raise awareness among women and mothers and to answer their health-related questions.
